Part of Banjol is scattered over the hills above the road, and the other part, below the road, dips to the sea in four bays, or Padova. Banjol, like all the other towns and villages on the island, offers accommodation for tourists in attractive and up-to-date houses.
The individuality of Banjol lies in its Padovas, or sheltered bays, which teem with swimmers during the day, and at night with little boats coming back from their fishing.
Houses along the beaches, little piers on the shore, a view of the old city and its bell-towers, and the path that goes along the very shore, all make Banjol a place to come back to.
